The History of La Rocca Greene Architects

From 1972 to 2010 Allan and Barbara Anderson established this firm’s reputation for dedicated service to the clients, functional buildings and award-winning design. They trained many young architects to value and practice the same high standards. They shared their talents and love of architecture and art with the community by the Architect in Schools programs, art exhibition, lectures, municipal boards, pro bono services and as active participants in professional organizations.

Architecture Rooted in Fundamentals While Embracing Modernity

Allan’s building designs demonstrate his skills of master planning, use of proportion, rhythm, light and form. His management skills provided project leadership for owners, architects, engineers and contractors. Allan was a skilled carpenter who together with his wife Barbara built their award winning house and constructed the economical office work stations still in use today.

Barbara’s design and drawing skills show in her numerous sketches and renderings. She emphasized to the staff the need to design with 3D sketches not just plans and elevations. Barbara advanced the company technology by initiating our CAD program 25 years ago. With the Andersons’ leadership the company grew from a skilled “mom & pop” business to a professional corporation doing large public projects with the same personal attention.
